Laser Scanning of Poole Lifting Bridge
During this past week, LandScope has returned to Poole Lifting Bridge in order to acquire additional laser scan data to add to the point cloud model we created last year.
Using the Trimble TX8 laser scanner, we took advantage of a low spring tide which enabled us to scan beneath the bridge and capture parts of the structure that were previously inaccessible.
By combining the use of underwater sonar scanning and terrestrial laser scanning, we have been able to provide our client with a highly accurate, complete model of the bridge structure and the bathymetry of the channel surrounding it.
