Scanning from Above and Below
3D point cloud models of basements in Bond Street, London, have been produced to augment a PAS-128 underground service mapping campaign along Bond Street itself.
In this case the basement detail, often extending beneath the carriageway, was surveyed from both above – geophysically with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) – and from below using LiDAR techniques.
It is always most reassuring when two such data sets tie together seamlessly.
