3D Modelling – Plant and Pipes
LandScope was recently contracted to produce a 3D model of a water treatment works in Warwickshire. Our client, planning to run a new pipe route through the site, required the position and dimensions of existing buildings, pipes, cable runs and plant.
For this project, our 3D survey services team utilised the Faro Focus 3D laser scanner. Its compact size and light weight was particularly useful when positioning in small, hard to reach areas beneath pipes.
The resultant point cloud data was used to produce a highly detailed and accurate 3D AutoCad model, which has successfully fulfilled the client’s requirements.
