A Spotlight on Highways Asset Management
Sarah Jones, GIS Manager at LandScope Engineering, and David Bullock from Oxfordshire County Council, joined representatives from Department for Transport, RAC Foundation, Institute of Civil Engineers, Asphalt Industry Alliance and Transport for Greater Manchester to form the Asset Management panel at the ICE Roads 2016 Conference.
Our very own Sarah Jones kicked off the Asset Management panel at the prestigious One Great George Street in London with her presentation on ‘challenges and opportunities using an innovative approach to mobile mapping’.
Drawing on our partnership with Oxfordshire County Council, Sarah’s presentation introduced the autoMAP mobile mapping system as an innovative approach to creating a highways asset inventory; more information on how Oxfordshire County Council have used the autoMAP system can be found here.
ICE Roads 2016 was a huge success and we would like to thank all of those who attended the Asset Management panel or visited our exhibition stand over the course of the day.
We are looking forward to the next ICE event, ICE Bridges, on the 1st June.
