Anglesey Topographical Route Mapping

8th June, 2017

LandScope have recently completed a topographical survey of a 10km route across Anglesey for the purpose of the design and installation of two new clean water pipes. In addition to the topographical survey, the existing cast iron water pipe was to be located and mapped along the full length of the route.

At the request of the client a traditional topographical survey of the route was completed utilising RTK GNSS and total stations in addition to the acquisition of aerial photography using a UAV. Deliverables included 3D point cloud, topographical data extraction and video – an extract of which can be found below.

Despite some areas of challenging terrain the survey was completed within the agreed time frame and all data-sets successfully delivered to the client on schedule.
