Ground Stability Survey for Coastal Erosion

6th December, 2021

LandScope were commissioned to assist with a ground stability survey following a landslip at a coastal holiday park in Wales.

Our client required a survey of the entire parcel of land adjacent to the cliff edge to ascertain whether any other shallow voids or weaknesses could be identified to allow remedial works to be undertaken before any further land slip took place.

The survey was completed with a dual frequency Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) antenna with RTK GNSS positioning. The dual frequency afforded both high resolution data and extended depth penetration (up to 3m).

The data was post processed by LandScope’s in-house team of geophysicists with an easy to understand summary interpretation plot delivered alongside a detailed report.
