Multibeam Bathymetry Training for University of Glasgow

22nd February, 2022

Undergraduates from the Land & Hydrographic Surveying masters course at the University of Glasgow were recently treated to an introduction to multibeam bathymetric survey. Each student was given the opportunity to acquire data onboard s.v.Investigator and understand the associated rigorous quality control measures to ensure technical certainty.

Supported by Geodesea – the UK reseller of BeamworX specialised hydrographic software – each student was subsequently set up with a BeamworX license to explore the various techniques utilised in post processing and deliverable production.
