Deformation & Subsidence
LandScope Engineering has established a deformation and subsidence monitoring service to monitor and model 2D or 3D displacement of structures and assets caused by construction related, man-made or naturally occurring influences.
Each deformation monitoring survey benefits from a bespoke design, ensuring the most appropriate geotechnical or geospatial sensors are installed to meet the projects’ accuracy and output parameter requirements. In most cases, deformation surveys will utilise an optical survey total station or precise digital level to observe the prisms or benchmarks installed on or around an object of interest. On larger projects geospatial sensors are generally augmented with a number of geotechnical sensors, providing the ability to perform detailed measurement data correlation and statistical analysis.
Data analysis, reporting and archiving is achieved using Trimble 4D Control (T4D) and, in accordance with scope requirements, LandScope are able to establish trigger levels for individual or a combination of sensors which issue a real-time alert via SMS or email to all stakeholders in the event that the triggers are exceeded.
