Capturing Road Markings with Mobile Mapping
Prior to carriageway resurfacing, our client required an accurate record of all road markings on a stretch of the A66.
LandScope deployed our Pegasus:Two Ultimate mobile mapping system to capture the data quickly and without the need for costly traffic management. Data was acquired over the 7km stretch in just a couple of hours.
The resultant data was delivered as a 3D CAD drawing which will be used by our client to re-establish road markings after resurfacing works have taken place.
Georeferenced imagery was also delivered within Google Earth to further validate the completeness and accuracy of road markings.
