Our high resolution multibeam survey outputs are being used to precisely monitor underwater extraction volumes.
Utilising our survey vessel ‘Investigator’, the survey benefits from multibeam bathymetric survey in relatively shallow water to develop a periodic .xyz output. This may be compared survey on survey to determine the amount of material being removed via suction dredger.
The repeatability of system deployment geometry from campaign to campaign is of critical importance. The survey vessel benefits from a dimensional control survey prior to mobilisation, the most rigorous of multibeam system calibrations and multiple independent quality control measurements. Minimising error source at the installation and deployment stage ensures we deliver the most accurate volumetric output.
