River Catchment Survey using UAV
LandScope, together with our UAV partner DM&S, recently carried out a survey along the river Machno within Snowdonia National Park.
The National Trust commissioned LandScope to provide a baseline survey of the Machno river sub-catchment before river restoration works.
LandScope’s aerial survey team utilised the eBee UAV to capture high resolution aerial imagery in the challenging environment. The data was delivered to the National Trust as a series of impressive and compelling ortho-rectified images, DSM/DTM and flyover video.
We are looking forward to our next scheduled visit once the river restoration works have been completed in order to repeat the survey and provide a visual comparison of the landscape to the National Trust.
