Viaduct Survey Using 3D Laser Scanning for Structural Assessment
LandScope has completed a detailed viaduct survey in South Wales, delivering a complete 3D dataset to support structural assessment and future maintenance works. The project required full coverage of a complex structure, including multiple spans, restricted access areas and challenging ground conditions below, all within a tight programme.
Using high-accuracy terrestrial laser scanning, combined with a robust control framework and coordinated access planning, the team captured a consistent and engineering-grade dataset across the entire structure. The result is a reliable, high-resolution digital record that supports immediate assessment needs while reducing the requirement for repeat site visits.
