LandScope has successfully completed a new highway survey project, capturing 8km of live A-road data for a local authority to support an urgent resurfacing programme. Faced with tight timescales and the challenge of surveying busy roads without disruption, the team deployed advanced mobile mapping technology to deliver accurate, kerb-to-kerb data in a single visit. This approach removed the need for traffic management, significantly improving safety while maintaining full programme momentum.
Using the Leica Pegasus Two Ultimate system, LandScope combined rapid data capture with robust geospatial control and QA processes to ensure engineering-grade accuracy. The result was a high-quality, georeferenced dataset delivered in phases to meet immediate design needs, while also providing a complete digital record for future use. The project highlights how modern survey methods can dramatically reduce programme time, minimise risk, and deliver long-term value through reliable, reusable data.
